(Reuters) – Volodymyr Zelenskiy congratulated Ukraine’s foreign intelligence service on Monday for the murder of best Russian military personalities since the start of the war, but has made no mention of a car that killed a higher Russian officer last week.

The Kremlin blamed Ukraine for the car car from last Friday outside Moscow who killed Yaroslav Moskalik, 59, deputy chief of the main operations department of the general staff of the Russian armed forces.

Kyiv authorities have made no direct comments on the attack on Moskalik, the last in a series of Russian military officers and pro-war figures killed since the February 2022 invasion of Ukraine.

The remarks of Zelenskiy, on the Telegram messaging application, made no reference to a specific example of Russian military officers killed.

“Ukraine’s foreign intelligence chief has reported the liquidation of persons from the Higher Command of the Russian Armed Forces. Justice is inevitably done,” said Zelenskiy, referring to the head of the agency, Oleg Ivashchenko.

“The chief reported new measures to counter the networks of Russian agents in Ukraine and saboteurs. Good results. Thank you for your work,” said the president.

Ukraine’s SBU intelligence service said that he had killed Lieutenant-General Igor Kirillov, a high-level Russian general accused by Ukraine to be responsible for the use of chemical weapons against Ukrainian troops last December in Moscow.

A Moscow court, on weekends, ordered a Ukrainian national country to cope with terrorism as part of the attack on Moskalik in pre-trial detention.

A Moskalik Billology published Tuesday in the Official Journal of the Russian Defense Ministry, Krasnaya Zvezda and signed by the Russian Minister of Defense, Andrei Belousov, his deputies and the best army commanders, described Moskalik as a “faithful son” of Russia.

He said that since the start of the war, that the NECRology in accordance with the Kremlin position called “a special military operation”, Moskalik supervised the works of the general staff control group. He did not provide details on what this position implied.

According to the ONCRology, from 2015 to 2021, Moskalik was involved in the international delegations of the Russian Defense Ministry working on questions relating to southeast of Ukraine. He was “responsible for preparing the material for the Russian president on the situation in southeast Ukraine,” said Blower.
