South Africa, the United States, Canada, Great Britain and Spain have each won 4x100m or 4x400m titles at the world athletics relays in Guangzhou, China.
The American victory occurred in the mixed 4x400m with Chris Robinson, Courtney Okolo, Johnnie Blockburger and Lynna Irby-Jackson.

South Africa has ahead of the United States of five hundredths of a second in the male 4x100m, where the American quartet was titled by the 200m 200m Kenny Bednarek Olympic Silver Medalist.
South Africa has also won the male 4x400m. The United States finished third in its heat on Saturday, missing the final, but has always qualified for the September worlds in Tokyo in the event.
Great Britain took the female 4x100m. The American team anchored by the Olympic gold medalist in Paris, Teeete Terry, ended fourth.
Canada won the beginnings of the mixed 4x100m – after the United States abandoned the stick in its first round heat on the second exchange, the only woman to the man.

Spain has ahead of the United States for the female title 4x400m.
The 14 First Nations per relay at the World Relays qualified for the world championships. The last two places in world championships in each relay will be awarded later this summer on the basis of the world ranking.
The mixed 4x100m is not on the program of the 2025 world championships, but will make its Olympic debut at the Los Angeles 2028 Games.
