To the editor: The White House described Amazon's proposal to disclose cost increases due to prices “a hostile and political act”. (“'Hostile and Political Act': The White House comes up against Amazon on the idea of disclosing the tariff costs”, “ April 29). So, apparently, President Trump does not want the American people to know how much the prices cost them. Trump announced that the United States has won billions of dollars from prices. What is irony, because it could really mean how much prices cost to the Americans. This cost is probably added to the cost payable by companies or individuals who buy the product. When companies have an increase in their percentage cost, in most cases, they have no choice but to transmit this cost to their customers, which means the American people. Conclusion: It is practically certain that the magnificent prices will not be so beautiful when the Americans experience significant increases in their cost of living.
Perhaps Trump could demonstrate how he really cares about the American people by developing a process to transmit all pricing collections to these average and low-income people and in difficulty of small businesses. If not, what is the interest of all this other than political appearances?

To the publisher: I note that Amazon confirmed to the White House that he did not plan to display pricing information when customers buy on his platform. California is, at the same time, continue the federal government on the imposition of these prices.
My suggestion is that California quickly adopts the legislation to require that all suppliers operating physically or practically in the state are displayed on the sale file, the invoice and the advertising of the price amount which has been imposed since January 1 on all the goods sold or offered for sale with a value greater than $ 50. This would provide buyers information on the real impact of taxes imposed.
