Standing on the 4th hole per -3, Theegala broke out to the right – not terribly, but bad enough for him to decided to give his club a scarf. He pulled the criminal stick from the tee box, then carried out … through the hole, at a time of 13 feet putt.

It was probably the accumulation of a long series of frustrations for Theegala, who had bogey three of the last six holes, including the third just before this TEE shot. (He started playing on Friday on the 10th hole on Friday.) Theegala had been two advances after the first round, but he went in the weekend at least four strokes after hiding a round 1 on the day.
The form of Theegala on the club throw was impeccable: a strong decline, an effective first step, fast wrist shots, fluid follow -up. You can see the club die out in the video above. Really, the only problem with all of his draw is that he violated one of the first -rate principles of golf.
“If you are going to throw a club,” said the capricious legend Tommy Bolt, “it is important to throw it in front of you, below the fairway, so that you do not have to waste energy to pick it up.”
Solid advice. Nothing worse than launching a club and having to take the promenade of shame – or, worse, to send your innocent shopping to do so – in order to recover the club. Go for the fairway next time, Sahith. It's easier than putting your t-shirt there.
