The Giuffre of American origin, who lived in Australia for years, became a defender of survivors of sex trafficking after emerging as a central figure of the prolonged fall of Epstein.
The rich manner of well -connected New York money committed suicide in August 2019 while waiting for a trial on federal accusations of federal sex trafficking dozens of teenage girls and young women, some as young as 14 years.
The charges occurred 14 years after Palm Beach, Florida police began investigating allegations that he sexually abused minor girls who were hired to give him massages.
Guffre appeared publicly after the end of the initial investigation by an 18 -month prison sentence for Epstein, which concluded a secret agreement to avoid federal proceedings by pleading guilty rather to relatively minor accusations at the level of the state of solicitation of prostitution. He was released in 2009.
During subsequent prosecution, Guffre said that she was a teenager at the SPA in Mar -A -Lago – Palm Beach Club of US President Donald Trump – when she was approached in 2000 by Epstein's girlfriend and later the employee, Ghislaine Maxwell.
Giuffre said Maxwell had hired her as a masseuse for Epstein, but the couple actually made her a sexual servant, put her pressure to gratify not only Epstein but her friends and associates.
Giuffre, she was transported by plane in the world for assignments with men, including Prince Andrew, when she was only 17 and 18 years old.
Men denied it and assaulted it from Giuffre's credibility. She admitted to having changed certain key details from her account, including the age at which she met Epstein for the first time.
But many parts of her story were supported by documents, testimonies and photos of witnesses – including one of her and Andrew, with her arm around her naked belly, in the townhouse of Maxwell.
Giuffre said in one of her prosecution that she had had sex with the Royal three times: in London during his trip in 2001, to the New York Mansion of Epstein at the age of 17 and in the Virgin Islands at 18.
Epstein's suicide in 2019 ended his hopes to hold him criminally responsible. She founded a plea charitable organization, Soar, in 2015.
Sigrid McCawley, Giuffre lawyer, said in a statement on Friday: “His courage pushed me to fight stronger, and his strength was impressive. The world has lost an incredible human being today. Rest in peace, my sweet angel. “
