Four people died and one was seriously injured after a cable car accident on Mount Faiso, between Sorrento and Naples in Italy.

The incident occurred on Thursday when a traction cable broke in a thick fog, sending a cab craze in a pylon during its ascent. On board were four tourists and the operator; Only one survived and was transported by plane to Ospedale del Mare in Naples.
A second cabin, blocked further on the road, was evacuated safely.
An investigation was launched to determine the cause of the accident.
The cable car, popular for its view of Mont Vésuve and the Bay of Naples, had recently reopened for the season.
