The midnight display, involving 200 drones, has formed Catholic icons, notably the Virgin of Montserrat, Pope Francis, the Abbey herself and the surrounding multi-club mountain.
The event was one of the celebrations of the day of the Virgin of Montserrat, observed on April 26.
Located 64 kilometers north of Barcelona, Montserrat Abbey celebrates its millennium this year. The monastery is famous for sheltering some of the most precious medieval manuscripts in the world of Gregorian songs.
