Protesters gathered in Freedom Square in the capital before heading to the presidential palace, urging President Peter Pellegrini to veto the bill.
The simulated rallies took place in Banska Bystrica, Kosice, Lucenec, Trnava and Liptovsky Mikulas, with more Slovakia and abroad on Friday.
The law, adopted by Parliament on April 17, obliges non -governmental organizations to disclose the details of leadership and donors contributing more than € 5,000 per year. Critics argue that it violated constitutional rights and EU regulations.
Pellegrini has until May 2 to make a decision.
