To the publisher: For anyone in a public service to say that he does not know if he is required to maintain the Constitution cannot be considered acceptable (“Trump, in a new interview, says he does not know if he supports the rights of the regular procedure”, “ May 4). For the President in office, this response is incompatible with the office itself. One of the jobs of the presidency is to “be careful that the laws are faithfully executed”, as indicated by Article II of the Constitution.
Article II does not allow the president to do what he wants; This specifies its responsibilities. It is regrettable that we do not need a presidential candidate to succeed in a simple civic test, because we demand that an immigrant become a citizen.

When he recited these words during his two inaugurations? “I swear solemnly (or affirms) that I will faithfully perform the office of the President of the United States, and I will do the best of my capacities, preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the United States.”

To the publisher: Trump is therefore not sure of the constitutionality of the regular procedure for citizens and non-citizens. I assume that he will just make another decree and wait to see what is going on legally.
Meanwhile, he upsets our legal system with a Supreme Conservative Court on his side and goes after the legal firms, the lawyers and the judges who, according to him, dissected him. Honestly, it's an intelligent decision. We all know how much the legal system moves slowly while its executive orders immediately affect the person after the person and the company after the company.
