Bad thoughts – We had them all. But the kind of twisted thoughts that turn in the mind of the actor, the podcaster and the writer Tom Segura are certainly not for the delicates. Infamous for its dark comic style, the new Segura project, a series of short cinematographic tales, co-written, co-produced, co-produced and featuring it, also enters the darkest sides. Always skeptical? May 13, “”Bad thoughts», A series of six episodes, rushes on Netflix as a fever dream. It is so disturbed that your brain could deposit a restraint.
Transforming the “bad thoughts” of someone's head to “bad thoughts” on Netflix took years, but everything paid when Segura and his creative partners finally got out of the outdoors on the creation of a madly meatmal magic. “I thought it would be fun to broadcast an episode of something scripted and produced on YMH studios. Just to see if there was an appetite for that. It was the idea,” said Segura.
“We shot this episode in April 2021, and it was so expensive to do, and Post took a long time, so it was almost 2022 when we were like, here it is,” continues Segura. “Our agents looked at him and they said to themselves,” You have to buy this. We know you can do something with that. I was in the middle of my tour at that time, so it was not until 2024 when I said to myself, ok, we have to get there. »»
Although streaming on In studios was the original intention, the actor, who has five specials on Netflix, I thought that shopping, couldn't hurt. “I was going to take him to HBO, Amazon and all the places. I said to myself: “I have a relationship with Netflix, so I will show it first to see if they are interested,” he said.

After seeing it, Netflix did not hesitate to light up the series. “These are six episodes, but we were able to use two of the stories that were in the original presentation,” said Segura. “Two of the three are in the real series, and you can say it because I weigh 40 more books.”
Kirk FoxA stand-up and actor is a master of hilarity who regularly illuminates the arenas as a functionality to Segura on the road. Fox did not skip a beat saying yes to work with the intensely wild script of Segura for his scenes in “Bad Thoughts”.
“We all have bad thoughts, but Tom found a way to make them as funny as they are frightening. And he directs the way he exists. Seamless. Word economy. He knows what he would like to see in a scene and does it clearly, “says Fox.
Rob Iler, out of his early retirement, the actor mainly known for his role on “The sopranos” as a soprano, or as a co-host of Jamie-Lynn Sign on the “Not today“Podcast, which broadcasts on YMH Studios. On this podcast, you can hear to discuss never want to act, but in the end, it could not resist” bad thoughts “.
“Tom and Christina (Pazsitzky) I have always been extremely favorable, so when Tom asked if I would make him a favor, and it was outside the Hollywood world, it made me feel that it would be just friends who make a fun show. It attracted me, “said Iler.” Seeing Tom having the bullets to spend so much money and believe in itself, then trusting me with part of that, it seemed to be a bad choice on his side, but I was down for the trip. “”
Tom may have chosen the members of the distribution of “bad thoughts”, but that did not prevent him from being completely finished by their performance. “Everyone was SO GOOD. Did you know that Rob Iler's last actor's concert was “sopranos”, and then that? And it's completely by choice. The guy is called and offered roles alwaysAnd when people see it, they are going to be like, oh, yeah, this guy is an incredible actor. “”
Several recognizable television and cinema players, including Shea Whigham and Dan Stevens, have brought even more important actors to the series, Segura said. “It was also very fun to look at Shea on the monitor to do all these little things, and to have these facial expressions, then you realize that you are with an experienced cinematographic actor,” continues Segura. “We were all simply fascinated by this. We don't like to repeat too many actors, but Dan Stevens entered and was so good that we had it for another role, and Kirk Fox is also incredible. You are just as, Oh my God, he is so good.”

No spoilers of us but not Tackling the unforgettable opening scene would be a bad service because it demanded, say, vulnerability. “It's my ass – it's not great, I know that is not the case, but I just had to face it,” says Segura. “It's funny because when my ass was exposed for the first time, I was very embarrassed and covering. After 30 minutes, I said to myself, look at it. I don't care! When you see the last episodes, it's on the other side. You become full front.”
Basically, the mixture of humor and darkness of Segura is what really is full of this wild collection of short films. “Some are really spoiled, but there are all different styles in these stories,” says Segura. “I feel like I went to the film school and I was able to make 15 short films with all these different genres and different characters. And I was able to apply what I like, a fun turn.”
“My favorite quality in Tom is its opening to suggestions,” explains Fox. “He may not use it, but he will certainly think about it. This is what makes Tom a great actor too, he always listens because you never know where you will find a big label for a joke or a large line in a scene. Tom has been built for this, and the world is about to experience it.”
