The Princeton University community cries a loss.
Lauren BlackburnA undergraduate English student at Ivy League school was found dead in a lake on campus on April 25, according to university officials. He was 23 years old.
“I am deeply saddened to share with you that the body of Lauren Blackburn '26 was found at Lake Carnegie this morning,” said the dean of the undergraduate students REGAN POTTY Shared in an April 25 press release. “Our hearts are heavy and we share our deepest condolences with Lauren's family and friends.”
In addition to sharing the advisory services on the campus for students affected by the tragedy, Crotty wrote: “We know that each member of our community joins us to send our condolences to the family, friends and dear beings of Lauren and to wish them strength in this most difficult period.”
No cause of death has been given.
A few days earlier, Blackburn was missing and a search of the University's public security department began, according to the vice-president of the school life of the school W. Rochelle Calhoun.

“It is with a great concern that I write to let you know that Lauren Blackburn '26 from New College West was missing,” wrote Calhoun in the April 22 declaration. “The Ministry of Public Security (DPS) directs research and recently issued a Tiger alert to the campus community.”
Before his disappearance, Blackburn was seen for the last time on the evening of April 19 near a library on the campus carrying blue jeans with torn knees, a yellow t-shirt and a black hooded sweatshirt, according to officials.

The 23 -year -old man obtained his promotional diploma from Corydon Central High School in Corydon, in Ind., In 2019 and received a Gates scholarship, which covered his tuition fees, his books, his room and his board of directors for Princeton. WAVE.
“Princeton was my favorite because of the objective they put on their undergraduate students,” said Blackburn at the point of sale in 2019. “I am very grateful and I feel very blessed. Princeton will allow me to study anything and obtain a world class education in anything.”
