A Russian attack on the second largest city in Ukraine, Kharkiv, killed a person and injured at least 60 others, said the Ukraine state emergency service.
The images published by the office show the consequences of the attack, the injured people being taken to hospitals.
An unnamed man of 79 years has been identified as the death. He would have been killed in his apartment.
The Ukrainian media report that several children are among the injured.
The mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, said that 20 apartment buildings and 30 private houses had been damaged during the strike.
Terekhov added that the air attack had been carried out with “ballistic missiles equipped with cluster ammunition”.
The attack targeted the residential areas of the city's Osnovianskyi district.
Significant damage was caused to civil infrastructure and fires broke out in an educational establishment and commercial premises.
Police, sniff dog teams and doctors were mobilized to help rescue and recovery efforts, local media reported.
