The players' championship offers three -hole playoffs. McILroy and Spaun will start at the 16th par-5, then make his way in the clubhouse. If there is still equality after the three holes, they will return for a sudden qualifying series on Green 17th Island. If he is still tied after that, they will play the 18th. From there, the game will continue from 16 until a winner is determined.
