If you've ever been to a diving bar, you've probably enjoyed a photo of Jameson In addition to your life in Miller, after all, the Champagne des beers is doing well enough with the best sold Irish whiskey in the world. According to The Whiskey Exchange, it is indeed the oldest Jameson Age of age to date which has been specifically bottled by the distillery. Jameson, however, exceeds all these other brands in terms of sales by a large margin, but this is mainly based on the popularity of the age -free basic declaration mixture. Like this expression, Jameson 23 is also a combination of pot and grain whiskey. As a reminder, the jar always means that whiskey is made from malted and non -extinct barley (a small percentage of other grains can be included) and distilled on a pot, while Irish grain whiskey is made from a barley mashbill and another grain (often corn) which is distilled on a column.
For Jameson 23, the jar of whiskey is always composed of the three styles produced in Midleton – Light, medium and heavy – and it includes the majority of the mixture. Whiskey was aged in a combination of barrels, including the barrels of bourbon first filling and the recharge and the buttocks of Sherry Oloroso at the first filling. A selection of barrels was mixed and then redefined in bourbon barrels of first filling in 2018 and allowed to ripen for an additional five years before being bottled in 2023. The whiskey is not filtered and clock at 55.1% ABV. We have not yet been able to taste it, but the official tasting notes include poached pears, creamy caramel, pepper spices, dried raisins in the sun, honeyed cashews and vanilla, with a balanced sherry profile.
