TThe Bolshoi Theater in Moscow has witnessed some of the biggest ballet dancers in the world, from Vaslav Nijinsky to Galina Ulanova – legendary names whose fame lives the decades after their last shame of stage.
More recently, he hosted fewer illustrious performers. The Bolchoi was the decor of the first appearance in a main role by Maria Shuvalova, a 27 -year -old ballerina who also happens to be the daughter of Igor Shuvalov, a former senior Russian government who now heads the VEB bank supported by the Kremlin. It was described by Sir Keir Starmer as one of the “Cronies that support the regime (by President Putin)”.
