Mike Woodson returned to the NBA.
The Sacramento Kings have concluded an agreement to call on the NBA long-standing coach and former coach of the Indiana Hoosiers as an assistant under Doug Christie on Wednesday afternoon, according to Shams Charania of Espn. Woodson marks the first rental for Christie, who was promoted as a full-time head coach of the team last month.
Woodson has spent decades in the entire league. He spent six seasons as a head coach of the Atlanta Hawks from 2004 to 2000, then he had a three-year race as a chief coat of New York Knicks from 2011-14. Woodson compiled a record of 315-365 as a head coach in the league, and he also spent time as an assistant with the Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers, Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Clippers.

Woodson has spent the last four seasons at Indiana. He compiled a record of 82-53 and made the NCAA tournament twice, but the Hoosiers have fought under his surveillance in the last two seasons and He withdrew at the end of his fourth season. This decision occurred in the middle of a difficult section when the team had lost six of the seven games. He marked the only Woodson head coach position at the college level. The Hoosiers have since hired Darian Devries to replace it.
Woodson, an 11 -year -old NBA veteran, will now join Christie's staff in Sacramento. Christie was appointed the acting coach of the team After the Kings dismissed head coach Mike Brown in December. The Kings went 27-24 under Christie's watch and reached the game tournament, although they were eliminated in their first game. The team then separated with the managing director Monte McNair and hired Scott Perry to replace him almost immediately

This is Christie's first use as a head coach of the League. The 15 -year -old veteran joined Kings staff after working as a color commentator for NBC Sports Kings.
Christie and Woodson will now be responsible for directing the Kings during a significant eliminatory series race, which the franchise has not seen for decades. The Kings have gone to the playoffs only once in the past 19 seasons and have not won as a eliminatory series since 2004. Christie is the 11th full-time head coach that the team has had since then.
Although Woodson's racing at Indiana has not worked well, it is more than proven at the NBA level. His addition to Sacramento should be welcome for a franchise ready to reset.
