Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Sudani announced that Abu Khadija had been killed in an operation by Iraqi information with the support of the coalition forces. Abu Khadija was one of the most active leaders of the Islamic State, responsible for operations along the Kirkuk, Diyala and Salahaddin borders. It was considered the engine of Islamic State attacks against Iraqi forces.
