Welcome to Kazakhstan for the first day of judo at 2025 QazaqStan BARYSY GRAND SLAM.
Hosted in the Martial Arts Palace, the event presented spectacular entertainment from local artists and was officially opened by the president of the International Judo Federation, Mr. Marius Vizer, Vice-Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Mr. Yermek Kosherbayev and President of Kazakhstan Judo Federation, Mr. Kuanyshek Yessekeev.
Local fans filled the arena in anticipation of what was to be a day of action full of action.

In -52 kgMascha Ballhaus of Germany fought Ayumi Leiva Sanchez from Spain. With the fighting in the gold score, Ballhaus used a large direction of change, going from its Uchi-Mata signature technique, to O-Uchi-Gari.
Marking a Yuko, she earned Germany their first gold in the tournament.
She received her medals by the general treasurer of the IJF, Mr. Naser Al Tamimi.
THE -66 kg The final saw a perfectly timed loot of 4 times the winner of the Grand Chelem Ramazan Abdulaev against the Gusman Kyrgyzbayev of Kazakhstan.
The medals were awarded by the president of Kazakhstan Judo Federation, Mr. Kuanshbek Yessekeyev
HAS -57 kg Faiza Mokdar from France met Momo Tamaki from Japan in a high energy final. It was Mokdar who took gold, with Waza-Ari from a well executed seoi-otoshi.
She received the gold medal by the CEO of the Harvest group, Mr. Almaz Alsenov.
There were more medals for the native nation with bronzes for Magzhan Shamshadin and Aman Bakytzhan in the category -60 kg as well as a whole day filled with action judo keeping the standing fans.
