Wood returned to the ring after a 19 -month break, but after victories against Cordina and Josh Warrington, Cucace has now beaten three twice twice champions.
“I don't know if I fought the best Wood Leigh, but I fought Leigh Wood because again, he is another double world champion,” he said.
“He beat very good names. It was a fight he asked for, a fight he told everyone that he was going to put me out of play.
“It just shows you that I am better than what I sometimes look like and I hit stronger than my files suggest.”
Curace will be 37 years old in February but, after his late increase through the division, said he had to “continue”.
“Never in my wildest dreams, really, I never thought I would be where I am and that's the truth,” he added.
“We live in Dreamland compared to two years ago.
“I can't stop now, can I? I'm going to have to continue. I don't have a lot of clock kilometers.”
