Jayden Daniels knows the risk.
CJ Stroud,, Ja'arrr Chase,, Dak Prescott And Robert Griffin III all won the honors of the offensive recruit of the year before Daniels won the prize last season.
Every four – and many of their less decorated draft classmates – have taken a step back in various production and efficiency measures during their second professional season.

The second -year student in the NFL threatens forever. He does not discriminate. Defensive coordinators have an adhesive tape season and an intersection of analysis to study recruits and develop strategies with a depth that game planning against first -year players does not allow.
So, as Daniels is preparing for his second season at the Washington commanding mark, he does not move away from this risk.

The expectations were high when the commanders selected Daniels second in the general classification of the NFL 2024 draft.
Daniels exceeded them.
Daniels made 69% of pass attempts for 3,568 yards and 25 affected at only nine interceptions. He rushed to 891 additional yards and six scores, raising the commanders to a record of 12-5 per year after having triumphed in four games.
Washington had not published a record of victories for eight years, and the club had not won a eliminatory match since the 2005 season.
Behind Daniels and the first-year head coach (with Washington), Dan Quinn, the commanders beat the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay and the Lions Detroit en route to the NFC championship.

Along the way, the commanders stressed … having fun?
“All energy and positive energy – it plays a role,” said Daniels. “Obviously, the magnitude of things is different now, but, at the end of the day, you must always be able to draw on this inner child.”
Daniels operated his inner inner child because the attacking coordinator Kliff Kingsbury adapted a system to the forces of his quarter, allowing Daniels to play freely.

The additions of an offensive line came to the free agency and the draft, with Washington passing its choice of first round on the platform of the Oregon Josh Conerly Jr.
And while Daniels has already raised the recipient Terry McLaurin from a perennial receiver of 1,000 yards to a 1,000 yards receiver carrying 13 affected one year after four years, he now has a new internal target.
The burst of the March activity commanders included a trade for the longtime receiver of San Francisco 49ers Deebo Samuel.
The expectation of Daniels for Samuel?
“Obviously, Deebo is a very versatile player,” said Daniels. “He's a playmaker once you got the ball in your hand. After taking, he does what he does. So, I can just acquire a guy like that, I am super excited to continue working with him.
“And we will go from there.”
