Washington, DC – COSN has announced today that the Mid-America Association for Computers in Education (MACE) and the Nebraska section of the Consortium for School Networking (COSNE) were approved by the COSN board of directors as official state chapters. The chapters of the State of Cosn play a crucial role in the progress of the organization's mission at the local level. These chapters provide a platform to the leaders of education technology to collaborate, share best practices and defend innovative solutions in their regions. Thanks to networking events, professional development opportunities and political influence, COSN's chapters allow members to stimulate impactful changes in their school districts.
MACE is a dedicated non -profit company to advance educational technology by promoting collaboration, by sharing best practices and supporting educators in the effective use of technology. The organization strives to improve education through responsible use of hardware and software, to engage with industry partners to establish technical standards and connect professionals in the field. Cosne was created by the Nebraska Association of Technology Administrators (NATA), as well as a group of heads of chief technology of the K -12 of Nebraska, information directors and technology directors in small districts / regions – or not previously associated with NATA. Cosne emphasizes political advocacy, professional development and commitment with state and national entities to advance educational technological leadership and best practices for each leader in K-12 technology through Nebraska.
