(Fox40.com) – A Casino in northern California makes an investment of several billion dollars to create a single entertainment district that could transform the landscape of the region.
The 40 -acres hard rock hotel and the Sacramento casino in Fire Mountain recently acquired 350 additional acres. The section of the underdeveloped lands between the casino and the Toyota amphitheater has been intact for decades, but should be transformed into what officials call a high-level destination. Soon to come there is an entertainment district of the festival, a space of rodeo, a sports and resort, retail, restaurants, walking trails and possible areas of stadium and fair.

“It will bring thousands of jobs and improve the quality of life of existing residents by increasing the local catering, entertainment and retail options”, “,” said Yuba Bradford's County Supervisor. “In addition, this will increase tax revenue and could attract millions of people in Yuba County to visit the destination.”
Since the opening of Hard Rock in 2019, it would have contributed nearly $ 2.5 billion to the local economy. Although the operation is currently on tribal lands, expansion will not do it – which means that regular sales and property tax revenue would benefit Yuba county.
Officials said new developments are expected to cost between $ 2 billion and $ 4 billion. Construction could take 5 to 10 years, but could start from 2026.
