Summer is there, and as with food, it's the best season for cocktails (in my humble opinion)! Summer cocktails are constantly more fun when they are theme around seasonal bays, fruit in fruit or fresh herbs. Time is ripe for a flow of refreshing bubbles or thick and frozen frozen purees with just the good amount of sweetness. You don't even need alcohol: cocktails that alcohols are king in summer too. These refreshing summer drinks are better appreciated outside, whether in your backyard, on a restaurant patio or by the pool.
Here are my favorite classic cocktail recipes to sip this season.
You will see each basic recipe listed first, as well as some creative variations to run your wheels. Appreciate!

1. Mojito
Mojito is a traditional Cuban Cocktail that works in any season, but it is best in summer when the fresh mint abounds. You will need a huge handle of mint leaves, more white rum and frothy water. Mix it by blurring in berries or peaches for an additional flavor explosion.

Variations: Try a Mojito strawberry,, Mojito raspberry,, Mojito fishingOr Mojito of the Virgin

2. Aperol Spriz
Spritz is another sparkling cocktail ideal for beating the heat. The most popular is Aperol Spriz, but you can do it with many other liqueurs! The basic idea? A 3-2-1 ratio of sparkling wine (alias prosecco), liqueur and soda of the club. A suspicion of citrus fruits makes this drink very refreshing.

Variations: St Germain Spriz,, Lillet Spriz,, Amaro SprizOr Limoncello Spriz

3. Sprayer
Spritzer looks like a Spritz, but it's a totally different concept! Mix the wine and the soda club, and you have a Spritzer! This concept has existed since the 1800s, and for a good reason: it is easy and ultra-refusing. Use any wine you like.
Recipe: White wine sprrit
Variations: Pink

4. Highball
Highball is the definition of refreshing: alcohol plus bubble loads! There are all kinds of variations on the concept of mixing alcohol with sparkling water. Highball whiskey dates back to the early 1900s. A new fashionable variation that you have probably heard of? Ranch water!

5. Gin Rickey
Rickey is similar to highball but with gin and lime juice! The classic Gin Rickey has been invented around the 1880s. Since then, it has become a popular variation as a mocktail, and it is an infinitely customizable concept.

6. Shandy
Shandy is for beer what wine Spritzer is to wine! Have you ever done a house shandy? It is a British drink that dates back to the mid-1800s. Originally, beer was mixed with ginger beer or ginger sevelable, but today's shandy mixes with lemon-lime soda or sparkling lemonade. Shandy summer and the Shandy grapefruit (recipes linked below) are updated on the classic with fresh lemon juice and grapefruit juice for a refreshing touch.

Variations: Summer Shandy,, Grapefruit

7. SMASH whiskey
The classic SMASH whiskey dates back to the 1880s as a refreshing summer drink in the Victorian era! Since then, many variations have evolved. Try it with any liqueur and get confused in fresh berries for a twist.

8. Moscow Mule
Moscow mule is one of the most popular cocktails in the country, starring the classic combination of lemon beer and ginger. This has generated a myriad of variations using different liqueurs. The version of the watermelon is a perfect taste of summer!

9. Gelled Daiquiri
The Daiquiri Gelée is a bit like 1990s, but we are there for that! It is incredibly refreshing and easy to do as an alcohol -free cocktail. All you have to do is mix the ingredients, add a garnish or two if you wish and enjoy!
