Tirico was in the waves earlier during the day and seemed good while anchoring the cover of Churchill Downs. We must note that time in Louisville is currently cold and rainy.
NBC Sports Anchor Ahmed Fareed resumed the broadcast at 3 pm and said … “Mike, as you may have heard, is a bit under time right now.” He did not develop further in Mike's state.
People went to social networks to express their concern concerning Mike's condition – many highlighting the differences in his reports in relation to past emissions. A user wrote … “Why do we pretend like Mike Tirico is ok? Something is not going well.”
Another wrote … “Mike Tirico sounds as if he should be in bed to sleep, do not cover the derby.”
We contacted NBC Sports to comment on its condition.
Speedy Recovery Mike !!
