To the editor: The Republican President of the County of Los Angeles, Roxanne Hoge, described in an inaccurate manner on Saturday demonstrations as “anger crises” by “radical leftists” without interest for good governance (“” “Anti-Trump demonstrations, Musk attract large crowds in Los Angeles and in the country,»On April 5). Moderate and me have also come together for this: good governance. It is less important if the demonstrators show a passion for liberal issues such as immigration and LGBTQ +rights. These subjects, such as border security and freedom of expression, are worthy of debate in a healthy democracy.
The greatest national threat is overcoming the executive branch, the non-exercise of the congress to exercise controls and balances and an extreme polarization of our stories. I would love to join the Republicans to promote good governance and protect our foundations, but I found no opportunity to do so.
Bipartite voice platforms are missing. The “radical leftists” can love excess rainbow flags and wear profane balloons, but at least they have exercised their civic duty and created an opportunity for others to do the same. Take note.

To the editor: I want to personally thank all the demonstrators across the United States and in other countries. I am too old, and not in good health, so my protest days are over, but I applaud those who are always able to fight so that the principles of democracy are returned by President Trump and Elon Musk. I think Trump is happy to make sure that unleaished musk takes office so that he is free to play golf and sign his name to everything that is put in front of him.

To the editor: I have subscribed for over 60 years and I am disappointed and angry with the lack of coverage of the demonstrations on Saturday on the front page. Resistance to the destruction of our country is much more important than three pages of the Kanye West school.
