Chicago Bears Legend Steve 'Mongo' McMichael died after a long battle with SLA.
Death comes a few hours after McMichael's wife, Foggysaid her husband would be Hospice movedWhile his health decreased by fighting ALS.
He received a diagnosis of neurodegenerative disease in 2021 and became shoulders.
McMichael's friend, Jarrett Paytonmade the sad announcement, saying … “With a deep sadness, I share that Steve McMichael passed at 5:28 pm after a courageous fight with #als, surrounded by dear beings. I am grateful to have been with him in his last moments. Please keep Steve and his family your prayers.”
McMichael was one of the best defensive plated in the history of the NFL. During his 15 -year career, he had 95 bags, 14 forced escapes and interception.
He also won the Super Bowl XX with the Chicago Bears and was appointed twice in the first All-Pro team. McMichael was enthroned at the renowned temple in 2024.
The National Football League has published a statement concerning the death of McMichael, saying … “The NFL has a broken heart to hear about the death of the champion of the Super Bowl and the temple of renown Steve McMichael after a courageous battle with Als. Our thoughts and our condolences are with his family and loved ones.”

McMichael also made a name for himself in WCW, where he faced the legends of the struggle as Hulk Hogan.
Legendary RIC FLAIRWho was super tight with Steve, went to social networks … where he cried his good friend of decades.
“The world has just lost the incredible Steve 'Mongo' McMichael! He was my best friend through all of this! An incredible athlete and a human being! I have the most beautiful memories of work with him, and it is an extremely heartbreaking loss for me!”
The boy of Nature closed like that … “I love you Mongo! You fought a hell of a battle! Rest in peace my friend!”
McMichael also trained the CIFL team, the Chicago Slaughter, and won the CIFL championship in 2009.
McMichael was 67 years old.
