Seoul: South Korean prosecutors Wednesday April 30 made a descent into the house of the former president of the country, Yonhap, as part of an investigation into a shaman accused of having received sumptuous gifts for the former First Lady.
Former President Yoon Suk Yeol was stripped of all power and privileges Earlier this month by the Constitutional Court concerning his declaration of disastrous martial law of December 3.
He was forced to leave the presidential residence and in his long -time previous house in the Seoul district of Seoul.
The Yonhap news agency in South Korea said that the prosecution made a descent into Yoon's house “as part of its investigation into various suspicions on relations between its family and a controversial shaman”.
The shaman, Jeon Seong -Bae, is accused of having received a diamond necklace, a luxury bag and a ginseng – a popular health tonic that can cost thousands – a senior official of the unification church and give them to Yoon's wife, Kim Keon Hee.
Jeon said he had lost the planned gifts and had never delivered them to Kim, but the local media reported that the prosecutors had obtained a text message from the civil servant of the religious group also known as Moonies demanding that he “restore the collar”.
