Sophie NYWEIDE Always endeavored to help other people to face drug addiction, even if she could not ultimately conquer her own illness … So says her longtime friend and her former partner.
Eden Herlihy Sitting with us for an interview on Sophie – which she met in a UTAH clinic called Elevations, which helps children with anxiety, depression, intimidation and other problems … and, she says that she was immediately struck by the kindness and welcome from Sophie.
Nyweide was not a critic like the other girls in the program, explains Eden … And, she carried this through the rest of her life – always trying to help those around her who were fighting with drugs, intimidation and other challenges.

Herlihy – who came out with Sophie for a while – says that her late friend could not overcome her own illness, the word that Eden uses several times to describe dependence … admitting the two drugs used several times.
She says they saw a lot of their friends succumb to the disease … But, she never thought that Sophie would be one of them because she was so strong – adding that he never seemed to have reached a point where she thought she would not be able to overcome her dependence.
It should be noted … The Vermont medical examiner has not yet published the case of death, it is therefore not clear if Nyweide has overdosed – although the investigators examine this.
As we told you … Sophie was found on a bank of the Vermont and died Earlier this month. She was with a man when she died, although the cops said that at that time, it was not a suspect or a person of interest.

Tragically, Nyweide was pregnant When she died … And, Herlihy becomes really emotional by talking about what it would have meant for her to be a mother.
Sophie was 24 years old.
