Bangkok: Six Thai police officers were killed when a small plane crashed into the sea during a parachute training exercise near a seaside resort on Friday, April 25, police announced.
The accident occurred around 8 a.m. (9 a.m., Singapore time) off the province of Prachuap Khiri Khan south of Bangkok.
Police spokesman Archayon Krairhong said five of the six officers on board had been killed on the scene. The sixth died later in a hospital, according to a police declaration from Royal Thai on Facebook.
The authorities examine the black data recorder in the plane black box to determine the cause of the accident.
