Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the United States may be ready to “pass” efforts for a Ukraine Russia Peace Agreement if there is no progress in the coming days.

Speaking in Paris after a day of marathon of historical discussions between US, Ukrainian and European officials, Rubio said that the discussions had been constructive and had produced an overview of peace.

French officials said that a new meeting in the same format was expected in London in the coming days.

Rubio said he could join this meeting.

“We do not reach a point where we have to decide whether this is even possible or not,” Rubio told journalists.

After weeks of effort from the Trump administration to negotiate a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine failed to end the fighting, Rubio said that the US administration wanted to decide “in a few days if possible or not in the coming weeks”.

France organized high -level talks Thursday to discuss Ukraine and its future security, the first time since the inauguration of President Donald Trump that the best American, Ukrainian and European officials are known to meet together to discuss the end of the war.

Meetings have occurred while European concerns are developing concerning Trump's apparent appearance to get closer to Russia.

Rubio and the presidential envoy Steve Witkoff contributed to American efforts to seek peace.

According to Rubio, several cycles of negotiations took place in Saudi Arabia and Witkoff met three times with Putin.

Moscow has indeed refused to accept a complete ceasefire that Trump pushed and Ukraine approved.

Russia has stopped the mobilization efforts of Ukraine and Western weapons supplies, requests that have been rejected by Ukraine.
