A storm dam has left British home insurers faced with complaints for 226 million pounds sterling weather damage in this year, a record since the data began to be followed in 2017.

Real estate insurance complaints have now exceeded 100 million sterling pounds for seven consecutive quarters, data from the British insurers' association showed 67 million pounds sterling on Wednesday than the previous quarterly record set in 2022.

Louise Clark, a political advisor to the ABI, said that before the government's expenses are examined next month, the record for damages underlines the need for the United Kingdom to invest in the flood defenses.

The price of home insurance increased 7% over a year in the first quarter to £ 393.
