The historical standards of Boulevard La Cienega will not be transformed into a fast food chicken joint, according to the owner of the building.
Raising Cane's, the restaurant chain which has the emblematic Googie style dinner, had planned to convert the location of standards into one of its pullet locations when the drink of standards was unleashed at the end of 2026. But after the community on the decision, the company restored the course.
“We have heard the concerns of the community and we are in discussion with the standards on the future of the site,” said Dale Goss, main real estate vice-president for cane education, in a brief press release.
The company canceled its presentation at the Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Commission last week, where it had planned to describe its transitional objective in space in a cane to be raised.
We do not know what the chain plans to do with space.

The La Cienega standards were designed by Louis Armet and Eldon Davis in the Googie style in 1957.
Googie is a futuristic architectural style that started in southern California and presented sharp geometric shapes, scanning curves and shiny lights, sometimes neon. The style was often used on service stations and cafes. Other Socal examples include Themed building at Los Angeles International Airport and Anaheim Congress Center.
