Post Malone Closed the first weekend of the Coachella Festival of this year on Sunday evening with a 90-minute performance in which he redid some of his Smash Pop-Rap successes as downstream Country jams.
Saunter on stage holding a red plastic cup and a cigarette, the 29 -year -old singer – who went to Nashville in 2024 with the dominant pop and hip -hop radio – opened her whole with Twangy interpretations of “Texas Tea”, “Wow” and “Better Now” which could be played in Coachella launched its country phase last year).
“I apologize for being pitchy,” he said later on the show. “Auto-tune is a hell of a medication.”
Dressed in tight jeans and an altered ball cap, Malone put through his usual atmosphere of self-effer while he was crossing old as “Go Flex”, “Goodbye”, “Lemonary” and “Psycho”, the last of which made him jump on his knees. He also made solo versions of some of the country songs of “F-1 Trillion”, including “I Had Some Help” (who presents Morgan Wallen on Dis), “losers” (who figures Jelly flap Recorded) and “Mexico City” (which presents Billy Strings in the file).
Despite his many friends in Nashville, Malone did not release guests surprised on Friday – a decision to keep this year with her colleagues headliners Lady Gagawho only brought his producer Gesaffelstein, and Green daywhose set presented no guest.
Before jumping in the crowd to shake hands with the fans as he finished his set with “Sunflower”, Malone delivered a little motivation speech to present his song “Congratulations”, telling the public that he remembered when a lot of “Many Motherf -” called him a wonder.
But look at him now, he seemed to argue: a rapper who had made a country star at the most important pop music festival.
