The Indiana Pacers were not going to let it escape.
The Pacers, after almost blowing a two-digit half-time advance, held on Rocket Arena late on Sunday to win a 121-112 victory against Cleveland riders. This gives Indiana an advance of 1-0 in its series in the semi-finals and removes the advantage far from the seeded of the Eastern Conference. It also marks the first defeat for horsemen in the playoffs after swepting Miami's warmth in the first round.

The Pacers, after taking a slight lead in the half-time break, jumped early in the third and seemed briefly that they were going to run away with the match after mounting a 12-point advantage. Donovan Mitchell, however, reacted perfectly. Mitchell helped trigger a race of 17-4 and dropped 12 of his 33 points in the third quarter only, to reduce the deficit to only two points at the end of the period. They would also have maintained the lead in the fourth quarter, but Myles Turner struck a 3 -point pointer to the buzzer.
Finally, after both sides brought a little bit, the Pacers took off late in the period. Andrew Nembhard struck the 3 consecutive points which was part of a 13-2 race to finally give the Pacers the space to work again.
The offensive of the riders has also closed widely. Apart from Mitchell, who struck three lay -ups in the last eight minutes of the match, the riders managed to make only two other goals on the field during this section – although the latter came from a 3 -point Ty Jerome pointer to the prescription where the match was already out of reach. The Pacers closed at night during a 20-10 race to win nine points.

Mitchell finished with five rebounds and four assists to go with his 33 points in the defeat for Cleveland. He also pulled 1 out of 11 behind the arc. Although they did not obtain the victory, Mitchell always made the history of the NBA on Sunday. His release scored his eighth consecutive match 1 with at least 30 points, which set a new championship record previously held by Michael Jordan.
Evan Mobley added 21 points and 10 rebounds for Cleveland, and Jerome added 21 points to the bench. Cleveland went only 9 out of 38 of the 3 -point line line.
The riders were without Darius Garland for match 1 Sunday. Garland was excluded just before the match went because of a sprained left which now kept him for three consecutive games. Although there are no structural damage, Garland faces significant swelling and pain. It is considered on a daily basis.

Nembhard led the Pacers with 23 points and six assists in the victory while pulling 5 out of 6 from behind the arc. Haliburton added 22 points and 13 rebounds. The five starters of the Pacers reached double figures, and Hey shot better than 52% of the field and the 3 -point line.
Match 2 of the series is scheduled for Tuesday evening in Cleveland. If the riders cannot bounce back right away, they could watch another release in the playoffs after what has been their best season for more than a decade.
