The news of the suicide of her son Garrison Brown blinded the cast of “Sister Wives”.
One by one, on The Sunday episode of the TV show TLCFather Kody Brown, his wife Robyn and the women who considered him their husband – Meri, Janelle and Christine – told how they discovered the death of Garrison.
The cameras were trained on Meri Brown while she was sitting on a sofa and preparing to talk about her birthday. “It's weird. Kody calls me,” she said, looking at her phone and mentioning the man she had called her husband until January 2023.
“Do you want to take it?” A crew member asked. “No,” she replied. “He can send me a text if he needs me.”
“He recalls again,” she said later, seeming annoyed. “I have already sent him a text.”
She then said, “He said it was an emergency.” The crew called CUT and it went on the phone. “What?” She asked. Then, the image dissolved in the text: “On March 5, 2024, the son of Kody and Janelle Garrison died.”
Garrison, who was 25 years old at his death, was one of the 18 children of the old family. It was found by younger brother Gabriel, said Meri.
“It is with great sadness that I confirm that Mr. Robert Garrison Brown was located in his deceased residence, following a self-inflicted ball injury”, ” Police said to Times last March.

The roommates of Garrison and his brother Gabriel told the police that Garrison had trouble with an alcohol problem and any mental health problems. But Gabriel said his brother had started a job in a medical establishment and seemed “OK”.
“It was just this strange, strange and surreal moment which is like” no … not one of our children. They will not do this “,” said Meri later in the episode. “And I say to myself,” Do you laugh at me? ” And it is like, “no.”
Robyn, who was the last wife to join the previously polygamous group and is Kody's legal woman, said her husband looked “really shocked” when she entered the room where she worked.

Christine, on the other hand, said that she “had fallen to the ground” after receiving a rare telephone call from her Hunter, whose biological mother is Janelle.
“He just said:” Garrison committed suicide. “And I just came across the floor in the office.

Garrison was introduced in 2010 for The first season of the series of reality “Sister Wives”, which recounts the ups and downs of a Polygamous family Directed by Kody. The series followed the family during their stay in Lehi, Utah, Las Vegas and Flagstaff. Janelle, Meri and Christine ended their weddings in Kody, while Robyn remains his legal wife. Although marriage to more than one individual is not legally recognized in the United States, Kody described his relations with women as “spiritual unions”.
Before his death, Garrison sent a text to a group of people with whom the family works, writing: “I want to hate you for sharing the right times. But I can't. I miss these days. ” According to a police report, hearing this message encouraged Janelle to send an SMS to Garrison, which was far from Papa Kody. They had a short conversation that ended suddenly.
“It was a luminous point in the life of all those who knew him,” Janel on Instagram published at the time. “His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it will breathe our breath.”
Kody just had this kind of visceral reaction, he said in the Sunday episode.
“The first moment when the sorrow really hit me was when I was sitting with (girl) Gwendlyn holding his hand,” he said. “I look at myself, I look at my esophagus, in my imagination, and in my lungs. And I think this kind of sorrow came out of me. Everyone is silent. I think the sobs of Gwendolyn and Robyn try to console her. This sorrow comes out of me and I was immersed.
“And that's when I think I think I am really aware that this situation has dropped and that it is just unacciliable. I don't know what to do. I am lost in there.”
