Seoul: The Department of Foreign Affairs of North Korea said that US joint military exercises in South Korea are “a dangerous provocative act,” KCNA state media reported on Monday, March 10.
The South Korean and American military exercises annual called Freedom Shield should start on Monday and present themselves until March 20.
They aim to strengthen the preparation of the Alliance for threats such as North Korea, said the South Korean army earlier.
North Korea has traditionally called these joint exercises to be canceled, calling them as a prelude to the invasion.
“This is a dangerous provocative act of directing the acute situation on the Korean peninsula, which can trigger a physical conflict between the two parties with a single accidental blow, in the extreme,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to KCNA.
Exercises will harm US security, the ministry added.
