The New York Icelanders won the NHL 2025 draft lottery and went from number 10 to number 1. The UTAH hockey club increased by 10 slots at number 4, the San Jose Sharks and the Chicago Blackhawks slipped a slit at 2 and 3 respectively.

In the NHL:: Macklin Celebrini (San Jose), Lane Hutson (Montreal), and Dustin Wolf (Calgary) were appointed finalists in the Calder trophy.
Celebrini, 18, scored 25 goals and 63 points in 70 games.
Hutson, 21, collected 60 assists and 66 points in 82 games.
The 24-year-old Wolf had a record of 29-16-8 with a GAA of 2.64, an SV% .910 with three whitening.
