The NBA announced Individual League prize finalists Sunday.
Dennis Scott deserves consideration as a late addition in the race for the clutch player of the year.
The NBA veteran who became a journalist and studio analyst was in Cleveland as a touch journalist for TNT's broadcast of the Sunday's eliminatory match between The Heat and Cavaliers. Now he can add a play advertiser and a color analyst to his curriculum vitae.

After a break in the first quarter of action, the broadcast went from advertising to Scott leading a touch report on the preparation of horsemen for the playoffs. When the Scott report was finished, the audio has not reduced the advertiser Play-by-Play Spero Dedes and the color analyst Candace Parker.
There was a brief break in the audio once the action has resumed while Scott clearly received a message from the production truck. Then Scott continued to speak.
He announced that the distribution was experiencing technical difficulties and led the play-by-play action of the game. This continued for a complete distribution segment. You can listen to below.
It was not the cleanest calls. And he looked like a radio program for more than one for television. But it was a specific game instead of Dead Air, and for that, Scott deserves a salvo of applause.

Calling games is not easy, even if the best pros give the impression that it is. With millions of listening eyes and ears, Scott has joined a new role without hesitation to do the work.
Fortunately for all those involved, DEDES and Parker were back on the air after the next commercial break.
