Emanuel Navarrete of Mexico kept his world title of world boxing weight on Saturday with a technical decision in seven rounds on the Filipino fighter, previously undefeated Charly Suarez, in San Diego.
The fight was interrupted after seven laps with navarreta raising a cut on his left eye caused by an accidental head confrontation in the sixth round.

The result was then decided by the dashboards at the time of the stop with the three having an advance of Navarrete-77-76, 77-76 and 78-75.
The 30-year-old Mexican improved at 40-2 with a draw while he defended his crown for the fourth time.
