The rivals of the arc had targeted the military facilities of the other with missiles and drones, killing dozens of civilians while relations turned during India blamed Pakistan for an attack that killed 26 tourists.
Pakistan denies the accusations and called for a neutral investigation.
India said that it has launched strikes on nine “terrorist infrastructure” sites in Pakistan and Pakistani cashmere on Wednesday, but Islamabad said they were civil sites.
While Islamabad thanked Washington for facilitating the ceasefire and welcomed Trump's offer for mediaking the cashmere dispute with India, New Delhi did not comment on the involvement of the United States in the break or discussions on a neutral site.
India, which says that disputes with Pakistan must be resolved directly by the neighbors, has rejected the involvement of a third party.
India Hindu-Majjjj and Muslim Pakistan both reign from the parts of the Himalayan region of cashmere, but claim it in whole.
India criticizes Pakistan for an insurrection in its part of the cashmere which started in 1989, but Pakistan says that it only provides moral, political and diplomatic support to the separatists of the cashmere.
