Mars can have a solid internal nucleus in its liquid external nucleus, according to a new analysis of the planet's seismic activity. This could help resolve several puzzles on Martian geology – but not everyone is convinced.
“It's great if it's true,” says Simon Stähler In Eth Zurich in Switzerland, which was not involved in research. “The seismological proof of its end is rather thin.”
