To the editor: Insufficient Trump administration is trying to finance public broadcasting (“PBS and NPR welcome all Americans, despite what Marjorie Taylor Greene might believe», April 1). Throughout history, authoritarian regimes have tried to dismantle public access to the creative arts, and it is above all that PBS and NPR exchange. The creative arts nourish the soul, and the soul is there that the lack of bias and fundamental human kindness are found. Faced with human degradation, it is easier to control essence. The regime wants to die of hunger.

To the editor: In a chamber surveillance committee, Katherine Maher of NPR and her PBS counterpart, Paula Kerger, tried to defend the millions of dollars in public funds spent for public dissemination. The two have gone bad. In the age of billions of dollars, even a few derisorys must be saved – in particular dollars contributing to completely biased media.
