Letters to the editor

To the editor: Senator Cory Booker is incredibly courageous and physically strong to stand up and speak for more than 25 hours in the Senate (“” “Senator Cory Booker takes a record with the speech of the Marathon Senate opposing the Trump agenda,“April 1). The Democrat of New Jersey spoke for all Americans who appreciate our shared democratic history and the elements that make our life daily in values: public health services, medical research, clean and water, weather reports, plane travel, reproductive health, health insurance, protection of civil rights, electoral rights, respect for our allies and not to prove to us. great!

To the editor: Booker should have been on the first page, above the fold. He then broke Sen. Strom Thurmond's record in 1957 for an obstacle. Bravo, booker, for trying to wake up the Republicans and try to save our democracy.

To the editor: What Booker did is beyond the extraordinary. It was a demonstration of courage, integrity and leadership that was lacking in our elected leaders. He tells the truth to power, resists a tyrant and reminds the American people who are we who ultimately have the power to determine our government. He asked America to help him take over our country with a delusional demagogue, and now it's up to us to answer. Thank you, the Senator Booker, for your stand in principle incredibly in defense of the rule of law, our constitution and our lifestyle.

To the editor: It is time for the record of the Thurmond segregationist to be erased. Despite all his diatribes against President Trump and the republican policies so far, Booker has not offered any alternative. Released to the failed presidential campaign strategy of Democrats in 2024 was “to stop Trump” without competing usable policies. How will Booker cut the federal budget deficit of a dollars Billion? Or he said, “Business as usual. May our children and grandchildren pay for the country in bankruptcy ”? For all his words, the image I see is Don Quixote tilting to windmills. Booker offered a lot of criticism, but nothing constructive.
