Seems Juju Watkins“ The coach does not have much concern for his star player will be back to his normal self soon – Lindsay Gottlieb tell TMZ SPORTS The 19 -year -old woman “goes very well” in her detoxification treatment … and attacking things with a laser focus.
Watkins, of course, torn his ACL On March 24 in an NCAA tournament match … but Gottlieb told us this week that she shows a lot of signs that she is fine.
“She is fine,” said Trojans' sidelines. “She is fine. She is in focus mode, in rehabilitation mode.”
The injury normally takes about 12 months to recover … and Gottlieb clearly indicated that they would not precipitate it.
But, the first signs seem to indicate that she could be there for March Madness next year – as Gottlieb told us: “Everyone is enthusiastic about the program and the team we have built and we will be back.”
If Trojan horses want to return to the tournament, they will not only have to do it largely without Watkins – but the star players Kiki Iriafen And Rayah MarshallWho were both selected in the WNBA recovery on Monday.
Gottlieb, however, said that she had been pumped to watch Iriafen and Marshall realize their dreams – even if she will not be able to have them on her court next year.
As for his advice for the duo as they head for the pros – Gottlieb has kept simple things … “They must go to the training camps and be themselves.”
