The Tennessee conditional liberation council recommended the country singer Jelly Roll for forgiveness for her pre-created criminal convictions.
The sheriff of Nashville Daron Hall announced on Tuesday: “A year ago, I wrote (Governor Bill Lee) asking for a complete forgiveness for Jason” Jelly Roll “Deford… ..TODAY The Council unanimously recommended his forgiveness. It is now in the hands of our governor. ”
The Power Liberation Council is “responsible for examining all Clémence requests (pardons, switches and exemptions) and subjects non-binding recommendations to the governor for his exam,” he said in an announcement of the hearing.
According to the Associated Press, the singer (born Jason Deford) told the board of directors: “I want to be an inspiration for people who are now where I was – to let them know that change is really possible. One of the reasons why I ask for your recommendation … It is because I am trying to take my redemption message … (through) the rest of the world. “
The singer was opened on his arrests for drug crimes and other offenses, including a conviction for qualified theft at 16 when he was charged in adulthood. He obtained a GED in prison and later became a campaign superstar, despite the problems that his convictions presented for having obtained a passport and an international tour.
Jelly Roll previously testified before the senatorial committee of banks, housing and urban affairs to plead for the law on the eradication of fentanyl and the deterrent of narcotics (Fend) outside the fentanyl.
