In three words: It's serenity now!
Basics:
The five -star war is lit. In recent years, a multitude of high hatred hotels have started to compete with the best guests in the Big Apple. There is the Surrey Uptown and the Hotel in the city center Barrière Fouquet. In the south-eastern quadrant of Midtown, the Fifth Avenue Hotel is the jewel of the 28th St. and, barely a pâté of houses, dominating above these aforementioned inns, is the Ritz-Carlton Nomad. Opened in 2022, on the site of a parking garage in Broadway and 28th St., it is a rare hotel entirely new in a city where reuse often has a better economic sense. But while these other hotels are limited by their shells, in Nomad, the Ritz was able to execute its vision without compromise. No wonder it is the Ritz-Carlton which will serve as a model for all future constructions of the brand.

The best room:
The suite very well named Ritz-Carlton is the stunning here. It is better deceived in a hotel where the rooms are already equipped with the best. It is located on the 37th floor and is all about views, views, views – the type that only NYC can offer (Oh Look, there is the Empire State Building!). It is presented as a widespread room on a generous 2,100 square feet. This means that there is room for a separate living room, a complete dining table for six guests, a private media room, a bathroom, a dressing room and a sexy rain shower for two. Don't worry, it will be easy to make friends with a suite as well.

Did they praise you by name to recording?
Not quite. The hall here is animated with a mixture of guests, residents who come to meet these guests for a coffee in the hall and foreigners heading towards the restaurant and the bar (more about this later). There are two recording counters in front of the concierge offices, and once you said hello, everyone should know you from there.
Welcome to the ready drink and to wait until your arrival? Point bonus if it was not only fruit juice.
More like water if you want. I arrived in the morning and while my room was prepared, I was taken to the club, that most of Ritz-Carlton's amenities, for breakfast. There, champagne flows and the views are epic. It is always worth it.
Does the hotel have an out-of-competition advantage?
The deceased and great star Rafael Viñoly designed the hotel, and it is a real spectator (a rarity for anything, if we are honest). But this is the place that makes this hotel a perfect stay. This corner of the 28th and Broadway was – and, to a certain extent, is always – bordered by large stores enough of the sketches selling the scent of the general public and anything else. The nearby flower district is on its last legs (although the hotel nods with its inheritance with a cart of fresh flowers). It is an area that has been ignored as insufficiently high -end for too long. These days, it is rightly recognized for its total convenience and has attracted many stores and restaurants that you will like. The great joy of Manhattan walks, and from here, you are a few steps from Madison Square Park, Union Square and Gramercy Park – or from this meeting that you have in the new sparkling offices surrounding large central. I walked to Soho for dinner during my stay and it was time for it.

Private Butler for each room?
No. But call the concierge 24/7, or go to the club if you want something.
Is there a floor heated in the bathroom? And a bidet?
No, and you just can't find a bidet in the city (at least outside a Japanese restaurant). The compact but not closed bathroom in my room had a beautiful complete bathtub (a non-negotiable non-negotiation for a good stay at the hotel) and old-fashioned, old-fashioned terrazzo floors.
Are the toiletries of full size?
Oh yeah. The Diptyque Philosykos collection is under your shower.
Is there a private swimming pool for the exclusive use of the room? How are the spa and the gymnasium?
To our knowledge, a single building of all NYC has plunging pools for each room and residence – and it is a condo tower in Chelsea. There is no swimming pool at the hotel, but there is a spa that should not be missed. It is an underground sanctuary with eight treatment rooms, relaxation salons, showers, saunas and hammams. If you do new York Okay, you will have had a late night. Present yourself in the morning for a massage, then sweat it to the sauna. There is also, of course, a full gym with high -end equipment – it seems to obtain great use.
Do restaurants are worth their salt?
Its restaurants are by the chief star José Andrés and are essential. There is a relaxed restaurant on the ground featuring a Turkish, Greek and Lebanese approach to the medile called Zaytanya. The upper bar is a masterpiece. But the bazaar is the place where you really want to be. It is a refined sexy restaurant (really, it's sexy), atmospheric, Hispanophone-Japanese with Flair. Cubes of foie gras are served in the center of the pink daddy beard sticks. The jamoneros are transported directly from Spain to cut down hardened ham legs with laser accuracy. They serve it by the ounce or, better still, like tacos of ham surmounted by caviar and gold leaf. Farge it in your mouth at a time.
Is there caviar on the room service menu? If so, what kind?
Do you want more caviar? We are sure that the concierge could ensure that the restaurant sends you, but it is not on the menu, which focuses on the comforting unpretentious food. Refrigerated cheese ($ 22). Nomad Burger ($ 32). Caesar salad ($ 24). Or why not order a large slice of New York cheese cake at 3 a.m. ($ 28)?
Do you want to pass Friday evening in the hall bar?
Yes, and apparently everyone does. The Hall Fair goes from coffee to cocktails in the evening and is a good place to meet. But, the bazaar bar at the lower level below the restaurant is even more elegant with welcoming benches, a curved staircase and a library adjustment.
Would you buy the hotel if you could?
The CEO of Flag Luxury Group, Paul Kanavos, also responsible for the South Beach Ritz – cannot give it easily. It is the Ritz-Carlton that all the others laughscarts want to be. Even in the fight of the knives for supremacy which has become the five -star scene from Manhattan, it is a winner who is worth betting.

You can have any type of hotel experience you want in New York. You can stay in a palace like the St. Regis or the place. You can kiss the cheeks in the city at stone, Carlyle or Mark. You can stay in a comfortable neighborhood shop in Greenwich Village like Le Marlton. You can celebrate it during publishing or standard. But for something well balanced, ideally an appointment and perfectly located, it is easily the best stay in the city.
