The crew “Inside The NBA” concluded its pre-match show Thursday with a dark tone, crying the unexpected death of stage hand Kevin Thomas. He was 70 years old.
With many crew members behind them, welcomes Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O'Neal, all were brilliantly talked about the character and impact of Thomas on the series, who heads for ESPN next year.
“Inside The NBA” is loved both for his analysis and his humor directly, and it was very clear that Thomas was a key contributor to the latter, with a coil playing his appearances on the screen in a certain number of sketches.

Barkley's thinking about the loss of Thomas:
“Death is so sudden. As if you were with someone one day, then you receive the call the next day that they left and you say to yourself:” What? “We all shocked when we received the message the other day.
“We have always said that people behind us do all the big work in the series. But, guy, the world is a sadder place because Kevin is not there. He was just a very good guy and we're going to miss him.”
Johnson fought tears at the end of the segment, calling for the moment “inexbuctly difficult” and saying that the studio will never be the same again.
Thomas would have left his wife, his son and four grandchildren.
