A driver involved in an altercation of traffic followed the other driver in the line of the Drive-Thru in a Starbucks in Riverside, where he stifled this driver before being stabbed by him, said the Riverside police service.
The two men survived the combat.
The confrontation occurred on Sunday, March 23, around 4 p.m., said that agent Ryan Railsback, spokesperson for the police service.
It started when the victim changed tracks in front of the suspect, which encouraged the suspect to prosecute him and follow the victim in the Café Drive-Thru line at 371 E. Alessandro Blvd., near mission Grove Parkway, “where he came out of his vehicle and confronted the victim when he was still inside his car, then started to suffocate him”, said Railsback.
The victim then caught a knife and stabbed the suspect in one arm, said Railsback. The suspect ran but was found hiding in a neighboring trash can.
Images photographed by an independent videographer onscene.tv showed an older man with white hair, a brown and white mustache and a handcuffed white beard before being loaded in an ambulance. A younger man with shaggy hair and a tuft of hair on his chin was also put in an ambulance.
The two were treated in a hospital, said Railsback. The suspect has undergone surgery and is expected to be reserved for suspicion of assault, he said.
A large number of blood spots were visible next to the Drive-Thru track, and an officer interviewed an employee who was carrying a helmet used to relay orders.
