Taylor Tomlinson, the actor and writer who welcomed the CBS Talk and Variety Show “After midnight” For two seasons, lives in Los Angeles for nine years. But thanks to a robust stand-up program (its now in progress “The Save Me Tour” At 76 dates reserved in North America and Europe until January, including a spectacle of the hometown scheduled for August 10 at the Greek Theatre), it is only Los Angeles for about 20 Sundays per year.
“I try to do two weekends on the road per month,” said Tomlinson. “But sometimes it ends up being three. Usually, my Sundays went back home, and I do my quiet things on Tuesday at noon. ”
She was more than happy to draw a Sunday plan which does not imply “a stopover seated in a cafe at Phoenix airport”. He would start by making matcha and head for an end with sushi and a film. Between the two, she had struck a flea market, a bookstore (to mark a spiral rings notebooks) and spaces out of the Huntington.
This interview was slightly modified and condensed for duration and clarity.
9 p.m.: Incorporate a morning matcha
In my perfect world, I fell asleep at midnight and I slept nine o'clock, which would be perfect. I am not someone who can manage coffee because I receive headaches. So, I usually do matcha at home with unwelling almond milk, and I add cinnamon and I generally use a little vanilla protein shake as a cremant. And I make it frozen.
I go in many coffees when I am on the road and I always have to ask if their matcha is recommended, because many places already do it with honey or sugar. But more traditional places become an unwelling ceremonial quality matcha, and that's what I use. I have one of these bamboo whips, and I like all the routine of boiling water, then I whip the matcha powder. I really feel like doing something.
9:30 am: Back to bed with a book
Then I would bring my matcha back to bed and I would read a little. I really find it difficult to let myself be read for pleasure, because, for a long time, I did not read anything that did not teach me something or which had a kind of self-improvement element or was a question of comedy or business.
I'm working on a book to me right now, so I'm currently reading Chuck Palahniuk “Consider this: moments in my writing life after which everything was different”, “ And for fun I read “The Dragon Republic”, “ The second book in the “The Poppy War” series by RF Kuang.

10:15 am: Saut-Cramper at self-gutin
I like to take out breakfast when I'm on the road but, when I'm at home, I like to cook for myself. So I'm going to run with eggs, turkey, zucchini, spinach and pepper, then garnish with avocado.

11:45 am: Make the Melrose trading post
It could (look) on a really basic Sunday, but I'm not much at La. So I would go to Melrose Trading Post (Flea market) in Fairfax High School with friends of my friends because it is a way to socialize. Towers Zach Noe And Sophie Buddle And I do a lot of comedy) on the road together, and when we are at home for a weekend, that's something we do together.
I bought a lot of leather jackets. I have too many jackets – a crazy collection of jackets. This is a real problem. I bought a weird lamp there. I think the last thing I bought there was this wardrobe (from Furniture J. Martin) It was green, and they said they would paint it all the colors I wanted and would have it delivered. So I paints a dusty pink that corresponds to the flowers on these vintage pillows that I had just received for my bed. The wardrobe fills the only virgin wall that I had left in the room. It's really cute and makes me really happy.
They also have food and music and drinking things. The last time we went, we got some Thai food in a truck and drag a little.

2 p.m.: Vroom to Vromoman
From there, I was heading for Vromoman bookstore In Pasadena, which I only went very recently. It is a huge independent bookstore, and they literally have everything there – books, gifts (and) stationery – so I would probably buy a notebook. I have so many notebooks. The two things that I occur most are the jackets and vintage notebooks. I use different types of notebooks for different purposes (for purposes), but they must all be spiral rings.
I like (notebooks) which are long and lean for my sets lists. I like stenographer notebooks for new jokes because (pages) have a line in the middle; I use one side for jokes I know and one side for the jokes of which I am not yet sure. And I like a very large notebook in which I come back. Then, there is the genre I find in flea market sellers when I am on the road where they transform the books of old children into notebooks and leave part of the text (original book) between the pages (virgins). This one (she holds a spiral notebook with the title “Peter Pan” on the cover) is Red barn collections. I think I picked it up in a flea market in Salt Lake City.
3 p.m.: Head to the Huntington
If I didn't sit down and did not write in the Vromoman cafe, I would go to the Huntington. I have been there for years, and sometimes when I have a whole day of leave, I will go there for some time. I would either in the side area where there are a few chairs and sit and read or go to one of the benches that neglect the Japanese garden. If I wrote, I would do it in the cafe.

5.30 p.m.: Sushi at Studio City
Since the closure of the Huntington at 5 p.m., I have been heading for this Sushi place at Studio City that I like called Sushi Tomoki This opens at 5:30 am. I like to get there when it opens because it fills so quickly. And it's so good, and the service is fast even when they are packed.

7 p.m.: Take a film at Universal Citywalk
Since I have been in Studio City and my group of friends and I are all AMC Stubs A-List Members, I would go to Universal Citywalk to take a film. Citywalk is, but it is close to Sushi's square. And the AMC theater There is really good. If you go with a lot of friends, you can divide the cost of parking. I love to talk about the film afterwards, so instead of simply standing near the car, speaking, we can walk (Citywalk) and talk about it. The last thing I saw was “Paddington in Peru”.

10:30 p.m.: Tea time before bedtime
At this point, it is probably quite late when I come home, so I probably drank tea – I have a liquorice or a ginger tea at night – and then I read for a while. Or maybe playing journalization or condemned to make in bed, depending on my mood. And I hope to fall asleep at midnight.
