Grand Irish National: Sean Bowen victory in Haiti at the victory in Fairyhouse

Haiti Colors and Champion-Jockey elected Sean Bowen have held a solid finish of every second now to win the Irish Grand National.

The 13-2 second favorite entered the race after winning the national hunt in Cheltenham last month, then under Ben Jones.

The eight -year -old pass formed by Rebecca Curtis and Bushmans Pass were the main pair of the first stadiums of Fairyhouse before the latter rests in the peloton.

This left any second now (17-2) as a main challenger, but, after also finishing second in the race last year, the 13-year-old could not fill the gap with Haiti color winning by three and quarter.

The favorite Quai de Bourbon (11-2), mounted by Paul Townend, finished third with Dunboyne (22-1) in fourth.

“Honestly, I can't believe it,” Welshman Bowen told Rte.

“I couldn't get him to Cheltenham and I am so grateful to Becky (Curtis) for letting me come back to him.

“The jockey champion is all I always wanted, but I suppose that when you get it, so you want to do more, and I also need the big winners, and it's great that this boy did for me.”
